Welcome to my Blog

So I have decided to start a blog. Most topics will involve my experiences and failures in navigating the recruiting process with my son, as well as provide some helpful tips and tools to make your experience easier.

From time to time I may step on some toes. It is not my intent to offend anyone or call out anyone. Rather, it is my attempt to provide honest assessments of the things I have seen and dealt with. Parents, I feel your pain and frustrations with the entire process. I can assure you that you are not alone. Knowing what to do and what not to do can be difficult. Let my failures and victories he’ll be your guide.

Athletes, this is your process. Though your parents may travel this road with you, it is yours to drive. Coaches don’t want to hear from parents. They are looking for guys who are actively engaged in the process of being recruited. It is your job to stay in contact with the coaches. It is your job to post the videos of you. It is your job to put in the work to show coaches and programs that your are committed to making you and them better.

I will also take suggestions for topics, so feel free to let me know what questions you have. I will do my best to answer what I can, and find an answer when I don’t know.

Thanks for looking in on my first blog. As always, let’s get you #committed.
